CEVA transports Sinovac vaccines to Uganda

CEVA Logistics has transported 700,000 doses of the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine from China to Uganda for the Ugandan Ministry of Health.

The vaccines were moved from Beijing Capital International Airport to Entebbe International Airport on 21 pallets, and CEVA was able to secure the route and timing to transport the cargo safely and efficiently.

The Sinovac vaccines needed to be kept between 2oC and 8oC throughout transport and storage, and CEVA provided visibility through embedded location and temperature IoT devices.

Niels Van Namen, Executive Vice President of CEVA’s Global Healthcare Sector says: “Our healthcare customers, like the Ugandan Ministry of Health, are looking for transport options that keep the end patient in mind. Individuals receiving Covid-19 vaccinations should not have to worry about the reliability of their dose. That’s our job, which is why behind every shipment, we see a patient.”
