Challenge Group acquires another B747-400F

Challenge Group has acquired an additional Boeing 747-400F, which it plans to use to enhance connectivity between Europe and the Far East.

The B747-400F has nose-loading capacity and a 120 tonne payload with Challenge Group saying it will enhance operational capabilities and provide efficient cargo transport.

Or Zak, Chief Commercial Officer of Challenge Group, says, “The new 747-400F is a testament to Challenge Group's commitment to staying ahead of the curve despite industry discussions about overcapacity.”

He adds, “It is an ideal choice for transporting commodities such as heavy & oversize, horses, pharma, aircraft engines, dangerous goods, cars and other complex verticals and will enhance our capacity and flexibility, allowing us to tap into new markets as well.”

Challenge Group has been diversifying its fleet with the addition of a B767-300BDSF in August 2023 with a fleet of four B767 converted freighters expected to be operational by the third quarter of this year.
