CHAMP and Ethiopian Airlines extend partnership

Ethiopian Airlines has extended its partnership with CHAMP Cargosystems for another 5 years, building on a relationship which has lasted 30 years.

Under the agreement, Ethiopian will continue using the Cargospot suite of applications to manage day-to-day sales and commercial activities, and support its hub in Addis Ababa.

In addition, Ethiopian will keep using other solutions including ULD Manager to control its ULD assets, Weight & Balance for safe and efficient loading planning of its aircraft, CHAMP’s Regulatory Compliance services for customs and security reporting requirements, and CDMP to measure its performance.

By extending the relationship, Ethiopian will benefit from new services including CHAMP’s end-to-end mail solution, and Cargospot Portal to supplement the airline’s track-and-trace application.

Abel Alemu, Managing Director of Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services, says, “Our growth in the industry requires a strong IT provider that can adapt to our evolving needs while maintaining high standards. With this partnership renewal, we gain new capabilities to better support our business and to provide our valued customers with an even better level of service.”

Nicholas Xenocostas, Vice President Commercial and Customer Engagement at CHAMP, adds, “We are very pleased to have been able to continue to support Ethiopian Airlines. Important advancements in customer-focused features mean that our partners will streamline their customers’ workflows, as well as their own.”
