Chapman Freeborn expands in Saudi Arabia through AJEX partnership

Chapman Freeborn has signed an agreement with AJEX Logistics Services to develop handling services and manage special cargo projects in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement to provide ground and cargo handling services, and management of special cargo projects comes as a response to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme, which aims to increase airfreight capacity to 4.5 million tons per year.

The Vision 2030 programme was launched in 2016 as a plan to diversify Saudi Arabia’s economy and reduce its dependence on hydrocarbons.

Gerhard Coetzee, Vice President Cargo at Chapman Freeborn, says, “Together, we will drive innovation and excellence in aviation and cargo operations, ensuring that our clients benefit from the best possible service.”

Mohammed Albayati, CEO of AJEX Logistics Services, adds, “By combining our regional strengths with Chapman Freeborn’s extensive global network, we are committed to delivering enhanced aviation and cargo solutions that support the Kingdom’s ambitious growth objectives.”
