The certification was awarded by ISOQAR covering three hubs for surface freight subsidiaries Davies Turner & Co and Davies Turner Logistics, and for the Heathrow headquarters of Davies Turner Air Cargo.

Health and safety measures have been put in place at the warehouses to reinforce high standards with the aim of implementing the ISO standard at other locations within the group.

The ISO45001:2018 certificate adds to ISO14001 and ISO9001 accreditation achieved in 2013 and being recognised as one of the UK’s first Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) by HMRC.

Carl Inman, Group Health, Safety, Insurance and Environmental Manager at Davies Turner Group, says, “The decision to work towards formal recognition of our occupational health and safety initiatives made sound business sense, but was also fully supported by the company’s board of directors as it demonstrates the company’s ethos.”

Commenting on the other certificates, Inman says, “These certificates, which confirm Davies Turner’s achievement of internationally recognised standards of quality, safety, health and environmental responsibility, clearly demonstrate our commitment to all of the company’s stakeholders.”
