DoKaSch Opticooler gets approval from Japanese airlines

The two largest airlines in Japan have given the Opticooler active container from DoKaSch Temperature Solutions their approval.

Approval from Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways means forwarders can use the temperature-controlled containers on all of their flights.

DoKaSch has established a Japanese subsidiary and a service station at Tokyo’s Narita airport, and approval strengthens its network in the Asia-Pacific region.

The technical approval follows the opening of the Narita service station, which can meet demand for RKN and RAP Opticooler containers.

The Opticooler active container can both cool and heat itself with a self-supporting electrical power generator and full climate control, maintaining a temperature between 2-8C at all times.

Kazuyoshi Kakizawa, Head of the Japanese subsidiary, DoKaSch Temperature Solutions K.K. says: “The demand for temperature-sensitive goods is increasing in Japan as well as in whole Asia. In addition to reliability and safety, fast availability at any quantity is also crucial, to step up with this trend. Combined with our new Japanese service station directly at the gateway of our new partners Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, we can excellently provide these key capabilities to our customers in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Andreas Seitz, Managing Director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions says: “Thanks to the new cooperation, we are further expanding our established and dense global network. With its market leading reliability as well as availability, our Opticooler packaging solution will thereby become available to even more customers in Asia as well as worldwide.”
