Dronamics has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Aramex to integrate drones into operations, with pilot flights scheduled for next year.

Dronamics will provide Aramex with drone technology so Aramex can provide same-day middle-mile and long-range deliveries.

The partnership was facilitated by the Strategic Development Fund (SDF) as a strategic investor in Dronamics to help scale up operations.

The Black Swan by Dronamics only needs a runway of 400 metres and offers deliveries 80% faster and 50% cheaper with 60% lower CO2 emissions than traditional transport services, making it suited for express services that Aramex specialises in.

Svilen Rangelov, Co-Founder and CEO of Dronamics, says, “We're excited to collaborate with Aramex, integrating Dronamics’ cargo drone technology to bring the transformative benefits of rapid, cost-effective, and sustainable same-day delivery to the global stage.”

Alaa Saoudi, Chief Operating Officer – Express Management at Aramex, adds, “We are delighted to partner with Dronamics to explore their cargo drone capabilities within our operations. This aligns well with our continuing efforts towards harnessing innovation for enhanced operational efficiency, providing an exceptional customer experience, and minimising our carbon footprint across the UAE and our global operations.”
