EFW to convert A320P2Fs for BBAM

Aircraft leasing company, BBAM, has signed a deal with Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) for at least 20 Airbus A320/A321 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) aircraft.

Conversions will be carried out by EFW at a rate of five a year until 2025 with the option for additional conversion slots every year from 2026.

EFW tells Air Logistics International that the 20 aircraft include two that have already been redelivered, and that a further two will be leased by BBAM to Lufthansa Cargo.

One A321P2F is already being converted for Lufthansa Cargo and a second one will follow next year, EFW adds.

The A320/A321P2F offers containerised loading in the main and lower decks, with up to 14 positions in the former and up to 10 in the latter. It has a payload of 28 tonnes.

BBAM delivered the world’s first A321P2F on lease to Titan Airways in January this year.
