Emirates SkyCargo orders another five B777Fs

Emirates SkyCargo has ordered another five Boeing 777 Freighters, bringing its order book to 249 widebody Boeing aircraft including 14 777Fs.

The order adds to the five B777Fs Emirates SkyCargo ordered in July, and will almost double the airline’s B777F fleet.

The airline has 11 B777Fs in its fleet, which will increase to 21 when the orders have been fulfilled.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline Group, says, “Demand for Emirates' air cargo services has been booming. This reflects Dubai's growing prominence as a preferred and trusted global logistics hub, and also the success of Emirates SkyCargo's bespoke solutions that address the needs of shippers in different industry sectors.”

The B777F has a maximum range of 4,970 nautical miles and a payload of 102 tonnes.
