Emirates SkyCargo to restart dual-hub operations in Dubai

Emirates SkyCargo will restart dual-hub operations in Dubai on 26 March following a two year break caused by the pandemic.

In April 2020, Emirates SkyCargo consolidated freighter bellyhold cargo operations at Dubai International Airport following the suspension of passenger flights.

This was done to streamline operations, especially for products such as medical items and essential items.

Now passenger services are returning, Emirates SkyCentral DWC at Dubai South will handle freighters and a 24/7 trucking service will provide connections to and from Dubai International.

Emirates SkyCentral DWC was inaugurated in 2015 and has a capacity of more than one million tonnes per annum.

The terminal has cool chain handling facilities and a dedicated pharma zone certified for EU GDP standards.

Aircraft parking stands are close to the terminal to make cargo handling quicker and more efficient.
