Ethiopian Airlines takes delivery of final Boeing 777-200LRF

Ethiopian Cargo has received its 12th Boeing 777-200LR freighter, the final model of the aircraft type to roll off of Boeing’s production line.

The 777-200LRF can carry up to 103 metric tonnes over distances of nearly 9,000 kilometres.

The delivery of ET-BAC expands Ethiopian Cargo's capacity and enhances its network in key markets. The airline’s strategic hub is in Addis Ababa, one of the continent’s busiest cargo gateways.

In a post on LinkedIn, Ethiopian Cargo said: “Ethiopian Airlines is honoured to be the recipient of this iconic aircraft, a testament to our strong partnership with Boeing and our continued investment in cutting-edge fleet technology.

“As Africa’s largest cargo operator, Ethiopian Cargo remains committed to excellence through innovation, customer-centric services and a deep-rooted focus on sustainability.

“With the addition of ET-BAC, we continue to shape the future of air logistics, connecting continents, businesses and communities with unmatched efficiency.”
