Eva Beate Lande to join Avinor as Cargo Director

Europe Appointments Airports
Avinor has appointed Eva Beate Lande to the role of Cargo Director, succeeding Martin Langaas who is taking on a route development role.

Joining from World Courier, Lande will start her new role on 1 October in the Traffic Development department where she, along with a team of 4 people, will oversee the operation and development of cargo at the Norwegian airport operator.

Langaas, who has led cargo operations since 2016, will take the role of Senior Director Route Development.

Cargo is high on Avinor’s agenda, particularly utilising capacity on passenger aircraft and Avinor has a specific focus on developing Oslo Airport into Scandinavia’s preferred cargo hub.

Lande says, “I view this as a unique opportunity to combine my passion for logistics with a meaningful contribution to the cargo industry. Avinor's dedication to facilitating the green transition while remaining competitive through innovative solutions and improvements throughout the supply chain was one of the reasons why I accepted the job.”

Avinor is working with stakeholders to develop Oslo Airport as a cargo hub.

In June, Oslo Seafood & Cargo Center inaugurated its new cold storage facility at the airport and Oslo Airport City will open the World Seafood Center for cold storage and processing of fresh fish later this year.
