FedEx Express expands at Newcastle airport

FedEx Express is expanding its presence in the north east of England by moving into a new facility at Newcastle International Airport.

The facility at the airport is equipped with the latest scanning technology and will be supported by upgrading services from an ATR72 to a Boeing 737-400 with three times the capacity.

A new weekly outbound flight will be added to the schedule, meaning five outbound and four inbound flights a week.

The team will gain 17 new members, growing from 4 to 21.
