
Both will commence their new positions on 1 July.
Bauer (pictured above left) began his career at Lufthansa Cargo in 2007 before moving to cargo airline Jade Cargo in China three years later. He returned to Deutsche Lufthansa in 2012 and took on numerous management positions in the years that followed, including Head of Internal Audit.
Bauer later became a member of Eurowings Executive Board with responsibility for Finance and Human Resources. He then headed Lufthansa Group’s Controlling and Risk Management functions before taking up his current roles in August 2023.
In his new role with Lufthansa Cargo, Schleussner (pictured above right) will lead the company’s Finance and Human Resources departments.
He joined Lufthansa Group in 2006 and, after holding various positions in product management and sales, he became Manager Investor Relations in 2009.
In 2015, Schleussner moved into Corporate Controlling at Deutsche Lufthansa. There, he was responsible for the management of passenger airlines and aviation services companies such as Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa Technik, LSG and AirPlus.
From 2017, he headed the Lufthansa Group CEO Office and then switched to Eurowings, where he has been Head of Finance, Controlling & Accounting since 2021.
