Europe Airports
Frankfurt-Hahn Airport and other HNA Airport Group operating companies have filed for insolvency proceedings at the district court in Bad Kreuznach.

The airport’s application was granted on 19 October and Dr Jan Markus Plathner from Frankfurt-based law firm, Brinkmann & Partner, has been appointed as provisional insolvency administrator.

Airport operations will continue and employee salaries will be paid through advance financing of insolvency money.

Dr Plathner says: “My team and I will now obtain an overview of the current situation of Frankfurt-Hahn Airport on site. At the same time, we will explore the possibilities for the company's reorganisation.”
