Freightos and Qatar Airways bring WebCargo Pay to Canada

Freightos has made WebCargo Pay available in Canada, in partnership with Qatar Airways Cargo to help freight forwarders make bookings.

Using the solution means freight forwarders can instantly access rates and book Qatar Airways Cargo capacity without the traditional barriers of accreditation and bank guarantees.

Launching WebCargo Pay for capacity out of Toronto and Montreal means freight forwarders can book and reserve space with payment required 48 hours before flight departure.

Other benefits include no bank guarantee requirements, local payment options via local bank transfers and a level playing field with small freight forwarders having access to capacity.

Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo, says, “With WebCargo Pay in Canada, more freight forwarders can seamlessly book cargo capacity on our flights to and from Toronto and Montreal, increasing access to our services instantly. This integration will bring new forwarders into our digital booking ecosystem and simplify general payment workflows.”

Wayne Tyndall, SVP Commercial, Freight Forwarders and Airlines at Freightos, adds, “With this expansion, WebCargo Pay now operates in 15 countries, enhancing access to digital booking and payment solutions for a significant share of the global air cargo market. At its core, this is about giving forwarders the financial flexibility and digital tools they need to compete in an evolving market.”
