GA Telesis orders another six 737-800s from AEI

GA Telesis has ordered six additional Boeing 737-800 converted freighters from Aeronautical Engineers (AEI).

Modification of the first aircraft will start in March 2022 and the work will be performed by the AEI’s authorised conversion centre, Commercial Jet in Dothan, Alabama.

The other aircraft will be converted at other authorised centres with the last aircraft due to be modified in May 2023.

In July, GA Telesis increased its order with four additional 737-800s and when the order is complete, it will have a fleet of 12 737-800s from AEI.

The AEI 737-800 has a main deck payload of 23.9 tonnes with 11 full height 88”x125” container positions, plus an additional position for an AEP/AEH.

The conversion also has new floor beams and an 86”x137” main cargo door with a single vent door system.
