The Guadalajara office integrates GEODIS’s Americas Center of Excellence, which is responsible for business areas including accounting, supply chain engineering, operational logistics and control tower.
Freight forwarding services, customs and foreign trade, project logistics and supply chain management have been centralised in the new Guadalajara location, which adds to consolidated operations in Mexico City, Queretaro and El Salto.
The 2,789 square metre office was designed under strict ergonomic and sustainability standards with spaces prioritising natural light and employee comfort.
It is also equipped with efficient cooling systems and uses treated water in the toilets to minimise its ecological footprint.
Miguel Munoz, Managing Director of GEODIS Mexico said: “Not only are we able to expand our growing freight forwarding line of business in the region with this new location, but we are adding new logistics solutions to our product portfolio to best support our customers. This new facility is a direct reflection of our ongoing commitment to growth in the region.”
Guadalajara is GEODIS’s second largest operations centre in Mexico.
GEODIS operates twice-weekly flights from China and Hong Kong to Guadalajara, and it has strategic connections from the port of Manzanillo and corridors to the USA and Canada.
