The awards are in their 36th year and open to all British International Freight Association (BIFA) members.
They are sponsored by blue chip companies and each of the 11 award categories are prestigious and highly coveted.
The 2024 awards will be held at The Brewery in London on Thursday 16 January 2025.
Steve Parker, Director General of BIFA, says, “I am often asked for the secret ingredients that constitute the recipe for success for any company looking to win one of our awards. So it seemed appropriate to invite someone who is probably best known for co-presenting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals, on BBC1.”
He says BIFA is looking for submissions detailing a relevant service or project, development of a new service or an example of good practice.
Parker says, “The ingredients should include examples of innovative ideas, or service enhancements as well as customer and company benefits. And, like the end result of any decent recipe we see on the programmes that Gregg hosts, presentation counts for a lot.”
Wallace has built a successful business from scratch, which has led to even greater success, something Parker hopes will encourage award entrants.
He adds, “Nor is he a stranger to logistics, aspects of which he examined in the Supermarket Secrets programme, detailing the complexity and innovations of their supply chains.”
BIFA has also extended the deadline to enter the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2024 to Wednesday 9 October. More information can be found here: www.bifa.org/awards/how-to-enter
