Hermes digitalises cargo management for dnata Singapore

Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT) has completed phase one of its digitalisation project with dnata Singapore by implementing its Hermes NG Ecosystem at Changi Airport.

Phase one is live and includes implementing the latest versions of the Hermes 5 Cargo Management System, the Hermes NG Business Intelligence & Datalakes solution, NG Track&Trace, and integration with technology partner SpeedCargo’s CargoEye solution.

The combined modules manage all processes related to physical cargo handling, documentation, special product governance, security, mail, messaging, revenue accounting, and business intelligence.

The handler can build up and break down cargo in real time, handle mail more efficiently with less data input, and to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks.

Travelling to Singapore was not possible until October 2021 meaning initial analysis and design sessions were carried out remotely.

Yuval Baruch, CEO of HLT, says, “Going live following a complex project delivered during the Covid pandemic is an unprecedented success and our on-site implementation was the culmination of careful planning and strong collaboration.”

Phase two will add other NG products, such as NG Landside Management powered by Nallian, integration with SpeedCargo’s CargoMind, and the implementation of modern best practices.
