Hong Kong Air Cargo will start freighter flights to Oslo Airport next month, improving connections between Norway and Asia.
Weekly freighter flights will start on 4 September using an Airbus A330-200F, giving Norwegian exporters access to new markets via Hong Kong.
The fisheries sector will benefit from the new service because faster and more efficient routes to Asian markets will improve the quality of products on arrival, says Avinor, the state-owned company responsible for state-owned airports in Norway.
Eva Beate Lande, Cargo Director of Avinor, says, “We are very pleased to welcome Hong Kong Air Cargo to Oslo Airport. This route provides Norwegian exporters, especially in the fisheries sector, with a fast and reliable transport route to Asia, enhancing our competitiveness in the global market.”
