The partnership means SGS D-TECT benefits from Hurricane’s advanced data intelligence, ensuring precise HS code classification, restricted and prohibited goods detection, denied party screening, duty and tax collection, and product compliance verification.

Combining the two technologies will increase the accuracy of customs clearance, compliance and security screening, says Hurricane Commerce.

David Spottiswood, Co-Founder of Hurricane Commerce, says, “By combining Hurricane’s regulatory expertise and data intelligence with SGS’s cutting-edge scanning technology, we are creating a game-changing solution that streamlines global trade while ensuring compliance and security at every stage of the supply chain.”

Integrating Hurricane’s data intelligence with SGS D-TECT will transform customs and border operations by automating compliance verification, which cross-references x-ray images of shipment data to detect discrepancies, prohibited and restricted items.

Security screening is enhanced by leveraging real-time, data-driven anomaly detection to identify risks before shipments cross borders.

Customs clearance is streamlined through seamless integration with any scanner or customs system and customs authorities and logistics operators can remotely inspect shipments with real-time access to data.

SGS D-TECT’s AI-powered scanning technology and Hurricane’s platform enable border authorities, logistics operators and businesses to reduce customs delays, avoid failed deliveries and remain compliant with evolving regulations such as ICS2, US STOP Act and other trade frameworks.
