Japan Airlines and CHAMP extend partnership for five years

Japan Airlines has extended its partnership with CHAMP Cargosystems for another five years.

The carrier has been using Cargospot to manage day-to-day processes since 2014 and since then, Japan Airlines has partnered with CHAMP in a series of transformation projects built around the Cargospot ecosystem.

These include a cargo business platform enabling a fully digitalised end-to-end process across Japan Airlines’ domestic operation, and a unique API-based solution allowing customers to compare and book against multiple air-to-air and ground transportation options.

Cargospot will remain the IT keystone of Japan Airlines’ cargo business and operations will be supplemented and enhanced by continuing to use CHAMP’s ULD Manager and Traxon compliance services to support pre-loading and pre-arrival declarations to Customs and border protection authorities.

Nicholas Xenocastas, Vice President Commercial and Customer Engagement at CHAMP Cargosystems says: “Our solutions have been and will continue to be at the core of Japan Airlines' cargo operations. Cargospot and CHAMP's other services continue to evolve in line with its emerging business needs and continue to be an integral part of our long-term digital transformation.”
