Kuehne + Nagel supports MHI RJ with Dallas/Fort Worth facility

Kuehne + Nagel has opened a new facility near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to support aerospace aftermarket service provider MHI RJ Aviation Group.

Relocating supply chain operations from Des Plaines, Illinois to Haltom City, Texas will bring operations close to DFW, a major gateway for domestic and international shipments.

MHIRJ will use the space to meet global customer needs with Kuehne + Nagel installing 3 Vertical Lift Modules at the facility for more effective storage configuration while providing enhanced efficiency during the picking and put away process.

Eduardo Razuck, Senior Vice President, Contract Logistics Americas for Kuehne + Nagel, says, “This is an exciting new partnership, that builds on our strategic focus in the aerospace industry and further expands our growing presence in the Dallas/Forth Worth area. The investment in a new facility in the area is the latest step in growing our network focused on supporting our customers.”

Erick Legros, Senior Director, Distribution Network and Warehouse Transition, adds, “Through this collaboration, MHIRJ will establish a new spare parts distribution centre of over 110,000 square feet, providing ample space for our entire inventory and future expansion. The strategic location of the distribution centre, which is only 15 miles away from the Dallas Fort Worth airport, makes it the perfect spot for global distribution of all our aircraft parts and components.”
