LATAM Cargo adds third Miami - São José dos Campos flight

LATAM Cargo has added a third weekly flight on its Miami – São José dos Campos route, offering over 150 tons of capacity between the US and the São Paulo interior.

Operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the Boeing 767-300F flights have over 50 tons of capacity for imports of general cargo and electronic products to the Vale do Paraíba region, connecting with Miami, which offers onward connections across the US and Europe.

São José dos Campos’ airport is strategically located in the heart of Vale do Paraíba, Brazil’s second largest industrial hub.

The airport has the third longest runway in the state and a modernised cargo terminal.

Otávio Meneguette, Commercial Director of LATAM Cargo Brasil, says, “This international route is crucial for São José dos Campos and the São Paulo interior, as it facilitates the import of supplies and electronic equipment for the Vale do Paraíba industrial chain.”

In 2023, LATAM Cargo invested in a number of new routes from Brazil with the launch of Miami – São José dos Campos, Miami – Brasilia and Amsterdam – Curitiba services, and increasing the frequency of Miami – Florianopolis flights to three times a week.

In April this year, it launched Guarulhos – Belém – Manaus services, increased freight services to Manaus and connected Florianopolis with Europe.

Guarulhos – Recife – Manaus services were launched in May this year.
