Lufthansa Cargo adds Asian flights to winter schedule

Airlines New Routes
Lufthansa Cargo will provide 89 weekly Boeing 777 Freighter connections in its winter 2024/25 schedule with more Asian connections.

With seven more weekly connections than the summer timetable, Lufthansa Cargo will add a weekly transpacific flight on a Frankfurt – Ho Chi Minh City – Los Angeles – Frankfurt circuit, its first direct connection from Vietnam to the US.

More freighter flights to India and China will be available to cater for an increase in e-commerce shipments and other goods, helped by Lufthansa Cargo’s 18th B777F entering service, which was delivered in mid-August.

In Asia-Pacific, Lufthansa Cargo will increase its weekly services to Mumbai and Taipei with another flight, and Chennai will be served twice a week in combination with either Hyderabad or Mumbai.

The addition of Shenzhen and Zhengzhou to the network means customers have 50 weekly freighter connections to Asia.

Lufthansa Cargo will also increase Frankfurt – Tel Aviv – Cairo rotations with a weekly B777F flight.

The A321F fleet will operate up to 34 weekly short- and medium-haul flights a week connecting to Lufthansa Cargo’s Frankfurt and Munich hubs.

Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, says, “With a comprehensive review of our existing schedule and network, we have been able to optimise our rotations. In the future, some of our freighters will have fewer stopovers, allowing our customers to benefit from direct connection and transportation of their freight within our global network.”
