Lufthansa Cargo has launched transpacific flights with services from Vietnam to the USA.
Flight LH8019 took off from Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday 27 October and flew to Los Angeles, operated by joint venture subsidiary AeroLogic.
The aircraft, D-AALO took off from Frankfurt on Saturday 26 October and left Los Angeles on Sunday, arriving back in Frankfurt yesterday (Monday 28 October).
Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo says the new service responds to Vietnam’s economic growth by providing faster connections to the USA.
He says, “This service reinforces our purpose of enabling global business, which is why we are continuously examining the possibilities of establishing new routes and growing in dynamic market environments.”
Lufthansa Cargo offers 89 weekly Boeing 777F connections including 50 frequencies to 17 destinations in Asia.
