Menzies awarded IATA CEIV Pharma at Schiphol

Europe Pharma Cargo Handling
Menzies Aviation has been awarded IATA CEIV Pharma accreditation for its cargo facility at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

At Schiphol, Menzies has a team of 250 employees working in a 37,000m2 warehouse handling around 300,000 tonnes of cargo per year.

Prior to being certified, Menzies upgraded IT systems to ensure all relevant pharmaceutical checklists were digitised and correct handling was guaranteed.

Menzies says this ensures that all operations meet the industry’s needs for compliance, standardisation, accountability and transparency across the air cargo supply chain.

Schiphol is Menzies’ fifth CEIV Pharma-certified facility after Sydney, Melbourne, London Heathrow and Budapest airports.

Miguel Gomez-Sjunnesson, Executive Vice President Europe at Menzies Aviation, says, “We’re delighted that Amsterdam joins the list of Menzies’ CEIV Pharma approved facilities. At a time when our cargo network is expanding globally, it’s important that our facilities and processes meet the high standards of pharmaceutical handling that this accreditation demands.”
