Nelson Camacho named Swissport US and Canada CEO

Swissport has named Nelson Camacho as CEO for the US and Canada, taking over from Frank Mena, who has retired after 45 years in aviation.

Camacho moved from being the Chief Operating Officer to CEO at the start of July to drive development in the region where Swissport provides services to over 300 airlines at 80 airports.

He joined Swissport in March this year and has previously worked for the United States Air Force, US Airways, CAE, Copa Airlines and GAT Airlines Ground Support.

Swissport is also strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of Stacey Brown as Chief People Officer, who will start on Monday 31 July and reporting to Camacho.

She started her career in labour and employment litigation then moved to in-house counsel and HR positions with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the Albertson’s Company and Walgreens.

Brown was Chief HR Officer for DB Schenker in the Americas and most recently Chief HR Officer at First Hospitality.

Working closely with Stacey, our new Chief People Officer, and the rest of our regional executive team, we will accelerate Swissport’s growth and success, driven by collaboration, innovation and relentless focus on customer satisfaction.”
