Network Airline Management flies flowers for Valentine's Day

Africa Perishables GSAs
Network Airline Management (NAM) has transported over 1,200 tons of freshly cut flowers from Nairobi in time for Valentine’s Day.

For this year’s Valentine’s Day rush during the first two weeks of February, NAM operated 12 Boeing 747 flights including four additional flights due to high demand, carrying 1,260 tons.

The flights are in addition to the four scheduled weekly to NAM’s European base in Liege.

Each flight was loaded with the maximum payload of 105 tons of flowers ready for onward trucking across Europe.

Andy Walters, Commercial Director of NAM says: “2022 has been another very successful Valentine’s season for us and we’re extremely happy to maintain our role in supporting the Kenyan flower industry once again.”
