Qatar Airways restarts Bahrain freighter flights

Middle East New Routes Airlines
Qatar Airways Cargo has reconnected Bahrain to its freighter network with services restarting on 1 September.

The 3 flights a week will provide 200 tonnes of capacity a week, complementing 21 narrowbody flights a week.

Imports into Bahrain predominantly consist of general cargo and perishables including fruit, vegetables and meat, while exports consist of general cargo and dangerous goods.

In addition to Bahrain flights, Qatar Airways Cargo serves 24 Middle Eastern destinations with freighter and passenger flights, providing over 4,500 tonnes of capacity a week.

Liesbeth Oudkerk, SVP Cargo Sales and Network Planning at Qatar Airways Cargo, says, “We are glad to be back in Bahrain with dedicated freighters three times a week. Bahrain is an important market for us, and having a consistent freighter service will contribute to the economic and trade growth between Qatar and Bahrain.”

Capacity to and from Bahrain can be booked online using Qatar Airways’ Digital Lounge platform or via third-party marketplaces.
