Qatar Airways starts freighter flights to Riyadh

Qatar Airways Cargo has launched flights to Riyadh, adding services to other key cities in Saudi Arabia.

The service, which started yesterday (Tuesday 1 November) operates twice a week using Boeing 777 Freighters offering 100 tonnes of capacity per flight.

The airline operates 96 passenger flights a week to Riyadh, Jeddah, Damman, Qassim and Medina, offering bellyhold capacity.

With the freighter flights, Qatar Airways offers over 900 tonnes of capacity in both directions to and from Saudi Arabia.

Guillaume Halleux, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways, says, “We have had a very successful 2022 so far and I am pleased to announce the freighter services to Riyadh. The launch of these services will not only provide a consistent and reliable freighter service but also contribute to the economic and trade growth between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.”
