Saudia Cargo and Cainiao extend space and service agreement

Saudia Cargo and Cainiao Network have extended their space and service agreement to meet rising e-commerce demand in Europe and the Middle East.

The agreement, which runs until 31 March next year and reserves exclusively selected Saudia freighter flights from Hong Kong to Riyadh and Liege, was announced at the air cargo Europe trade fair in Munich, Germany.

The partnership provides Cainiao with increased access to markets in the Middle East and allows Saudia Cargo to benefit from the growing e-commerce market.

Teddy Zebitz, CEO of Saudia Cargo, says, “We are thrilled to continue this partnership and explore new lanes from Hong Kong and China to other destinations and provide them with customized solutions that meet their evolving needs. This new agreement is a testament to our ongoing commitment to delivering reliable and efficient air freight services to one of the world's leading ecommerce logistics corporations.”

Wu Man, General Manager of Cainiao International Air Logistics Department, adds, “Our partnership with Saudia Cargo is a vital part of our business strategy, and we are thrilled to be expanding it further. By reserving exclusive space for their shipments on select Saudia Cargo freighter flights, we can ensure that our cargo is transported with the utmost care and efficiency.”

As its partnership with Cainiao grows, Saudia Cargo will look at opening new lanes from Hong Kong and China to the Middle East and Africa and possibly Latin America, the airline says.
