Silk Way signs interline agreement with Astral Aviation

Silk Way West Airlines has signed an interline agreement with Astral Aviation to extend its network into Africa.

Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai will serve as a transit hub where cargo will be handed over to Astral for flights to Nairobi, Kenya where shipments will connect to its network.

In reverse, cargo will fly from Astral’s base at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi and connect to Silk Way’s network.

The agreement will extend Silk Way’s network into Africa, as it has no scheduled services to the continent.

Sanjeev Gadhia, CEO of Astral Aviation says: “We will continue to forge new alliances and partnerships during the pandemic in line with our philosophy of promoting cooperation and collaboration with airlines and all members of the supply chain, as this will enable our respective clients to benefit with better options and connectivity from our respective networks.”
