Silk Way West Airlines and Nippon Express sign MoU

Silk Way West Airlines and Nippon Express have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance services and respond to changing supply chains.

The agreement strengthens the airline’s presence in Japan and helps Nippon Express to expand globally by providing cargo capacity across a worldwide network.

Silk Way West has been serving the Japanese market since 2018 when it launched weekly services between Baku and Kansai, with flights to Tokyo Narita following in 2021.

Wolfgang Meier, President of Silk Way West Airlines, says, “We are delighted and honoured with the signing of this memorandum, which will contribute to the further strengthening and development of economic relations between the two countries. Moreover, the conditions of this memorandum align perfectly with the growth strategy we are pursuing to increase our footprint in Japan, and we are sure that it will be beneficial for both companies.”
