Straightline Aviation orders airships from AT2 Aerospace

AT² Aerospace has announced a purchase order from Straightline Aviation to launch its hybrid airship on to the market.

The $50 million order to launch the hybrid airship on to the market represents years of development to produce a commercially viable and operationally capable airship.

They combine lighter-than-air technology with advanced propulsion systems and an innovative Air Cushioned Landing System.

Dr Bob Boyd, CEO of AT² Aerospace, says, “Our hybrid airships will transform cargo transport by providing an environmentally responsible solution while maintaining operational efficiency.”

AT² Aerospace, a spin-out of Lockheed Martin, will work with Straightline Aviation to bring airships to the market.

Mark Dorey, Co-founder and CEO of Straightline Aviation, says, “This investment aligns with our commitment to sustainable operations while meeting the growing demand for flexible air transport solutions.”
