Swissport to provide VietJet Air with handling services

Swissport International and VietJet Air have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to provide ground handling services.

The low-cost carrier has selected Swissport to provide a range of ground handling services and it will advise VietJet Air in developing cargo handling services and managing air cargo centres.

The MOU was signed at the Vietnam-Australia Business Forum in Melbourne, Australia.

The event was attended by dignitaries including the Prime Minister of Vietnam, His Excellency Pham Minh Chinh; the Hon. Tim Ayres, Australian Assistant Minister for Trade and Manufacturing; and the Hon. Jacinta Allan, Premier of the Australian state of Victoria.

Brad Moore, CEO of the Asia Pacific region of Swissport International, says, “Our agreement is a testament to the continued growth in the region and our shared focus on exceptional customer service, innovation and quality. It is our intention to expand our partnership beyond Australia, Japan and Korea where we currently operate, and become Vietjet Air's preferred partner globally.”
