Talma Mexico awarded key IATA certificates

Talma Mexico has been awarded the IATA certificates of CEIV Lithium Batteries, Smart Facility and IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO).

The Mexican subsidiary of Talma, a Sandoval Group company, has been certified at Benito Juarez International Airport and Felipe Angeles International Airport.

The ISAGO certificate covers Talma’s headquarters in Peru, the headquarters of Mexican operations and organisation and management activities.

It also covers cargo and mail handling, ensuring best practices are implemented to maintain safe and efficient cargo handling.

CEIV Lithium Batteries recognises compliance with safety standards and obligations for handling lithium batteries for Talma’s operations in Mexico.

Smart Facility certification recognises compliance with general cargo, dangerous goods, live animals, perishables, pharmaceuticals and postal mail handling facilities under the current IATA standards and regulations, reducing the scope and frequency of audits by airlines.

Talma Mexico already has IATA CEIV Pharma for handling time- and temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.

Adriana Canseco, Managing Director of Talma Mexico says, “We are extremely proud to receive these certifications, which reaffirm that our airport services meet the highest international standards of quality and excellence in the country. With these three recognitions, we have obtained a total of four IATA certifications that accredit us as leaders in the sector.”
