Teleport will go live on WebCargo this month, making its capacity available to over 3,000 freight forwarders.

The logistics venture of Capital A, formerly AirAsia Group, has built a cargo-only network in Asia using its hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok to cater for rising cargo and e-commerce demand.

It also offers belly capacity via AirAsia’s passenger flights in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

At first, Teleport’s capacity will be made available for customers in Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Manila and India before being rolled out to WebCargo’s user base later in the year.

Adrian Loretz, Chief Operating Officer of Teleport says: “Coupled with our robust and extensive cargo network, we are certain WebCargo will be advantageous for more freight forwarders and direct shippers not only in Southeast Asia, but those in other regions as well.”

Manel Galindo, CEO of WebCargo adds: “The past year has proven the sheer demand for air cargo digitisation. It’s no coincidence that during one of air cargo’s busiest periods, eBookings on WebCargo increased by over 1,000%. Through this partnership, leveraging our established technology with Teleport’s innovative drive and customer reach, we’re excited to improve air cargo bookings for thousands of shippers.”
