Tower Cold Chain makes live tracking available

Tower Cold Chain has added live tracking to its passive temperature-controlled containers through a partnership with monitoring solutions provider ELPRO.

The live tracking option is available for the parcel-sized KTEvolution range in 26 litre and 57 litre sizes, offering customers near real-time insights into their shipments throughout the transit process.

The tracking monitors shock, tilt, altitude, location and internal and external temperatures, providing greater transparency for high-value and direct-to-patient deliveries.

ELPRO loggers will notify and alert users to temperature deviations, allowing for immediate and proactive intervention.

Using the new tracking capability means customers can optimise their cold chain processes, mitigate against risks and address unforeseen circumstances as they happen.

James Vann, Product Development and Innovation Manager at Tower Cold Chain, says, “With many pharmaceutical products requiring end-to-end security, the live tracking option will be indispensable for maintaining high levels of quality assurance, compliance, and process optimisation.”

All rentals of KTEvolution 26 and KTEvolution 57 units will be equipped with the ECOLOG-PRO xG datalogger.

KT400 and KTM units will continue to be equipped with InTemp CX405-RTD dataloggers.

Tower Cold Chain says both data loggers have been approved by most airlines.
