Turkish Airlines orders 5 Airbus A350Fs

Turkish Airlines has ordered 5 Airbus A350Fs as part of an order of more than 200 Airbus aircraft.

The order of 220 aircraft consists of 150 A321s and 70 A350s, of which 50 are A350-900s, 15 are A350-1000s and 5 are the freighter variant.

It follows orders place in July for 4 A350-900s and an order for another 10 in September.

The A350F has the largest main deck cargo door and a fuselage length optimised for cargo operations.

Over 70% of the airframe is made of advanced materials and it has Rolls-Royce engines which together lead to at least 20% lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions than its competitors.

Since Airbus launched the A350F at the Dubai Airshow 2 years ago, it has received 50 order from 9 customers.
