Two new air logistics warehouses open at Milan Bergamo Airport

Milan Bergamo International Airport has inaugurated two new air logistics warehouses covering 41,000 sq m. Designed and developed by One Works in a consortium with Steam Srl, the project supports a long-term vision to separate cargo and passenger traffic flows.

The new buildings – which include an administrative and air cargo base for UPS – have been devised to ease congestion in the southern area near the terminal and enhance overall airport functionality.

In alignment with Milan Bergamo International’s Airport Development Plan, the new buildings accommodate current freight operations while being structurally designed to allow for future conversion into aircraft hangars.

Each building comprises a large-span warehouse structure supported by prefabricated reinforced concrete frames. They are complemented by a five-level office block.

The north-facing administrative components include dedicated areas for systems and services, with rooftop levels housing plant equipment.
