Virgin and Delta renew UK partnership with dnata

Virgin Atlantic Cargo and Delta Cargo have extended their partnership with dnata in the UK for another five years.

The partnership covers the joint hub at Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport, and includes regional gateways at London Gatwick, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Newcastle.

dnata will continue supporting operations at the City East facility at Heathrow which includes 18 customer delivery doors, an elevated transfer vehicle, high-rise racking, a dedicated pharma zone and capacity for temperature controlled and perishable cargo, facilities for dangerous goods and live animals, x-ray technology with enhanced imaging, and high definition CCTV.

The two airlines will continue to work from dnata City East and will use the new import facility, dnata City East Phase 2 later this year, an adjacent building covering 117,000 square feet.
