WFS awarded ISAGO accreditation at London Heathrow

Cargo Handling Europe
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been awarded IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) for its cargo handling operations at London Heathrow Airport.

The ISAGO programme is an internationally recognised system for assessing the operational management and control systems of ground handling service providers.

The audit assessed over 800 standards across six areas of discipline including operational procedures manuals, management system processes and training programmes.

WFS’ accreditation is valid for two years and the audit involved assessing station management system, aircraft handling and loading, aircraft ground movement and cargo and mail handling.

London Heathrow is one of WFS’ cargo biggest stations with seven facilities handling 350,000 tonnes a year for 14 global airlines.

Paul Carmody, Managing Director UK at WFS, says, "ISAGO accreditation verifies that our processes, procedures, and safety and security culture align with the core values created by IATA for the airline industry. As our cargo business continues to grow in the UK, our customers have the added assurance that we meet the recognised industry standards required to provide high quality cargo handling as well as freighter aircraft handing.”

In early 2023, WFS underwent ISAGO audit for its initial ISAGO registration for its London headquarters and station accreditation at Heathrow, validating WFS’ Management System in the Europe region.
