WFS to use CHAMP Cargospot in EMEAA region

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has signed a long-term agreement to use CHAMP Cargoystems’ Cargospot product across the EMEAA region.

The handling agent will use the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA) to standardise systems across the group, eliminate paperwork and improve visibility for customers.

Implementing Cargospot and adopting the Cargospot Mobile application using iOS and Android smartphone and tablet devices will eliminate manual processes and paperwork, and give WFS staff and customers faster access to real-time data.

WFS will switch to CHAMP’s Cargospot SaaS in October before a phased introduction of Cargospot Mobile as teams complete training via CHAMP’s online learning platform, CHAMP Academy.

The mobile application will initially go live in the Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, France, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and Italy, followed by South Africa, Thailand and the UK in the second phase.

John Batten, Executive Vice President EMEAA of WFS says: “Using CHAMP’s Cargospot SaaS and Mobile solutions will remove paper-based handling processes and help us play a bigger role at an industry level in accelerating the adoption of e-AWBs. It is also essential to support the many other digital advancements we are making.
