Wiremind turns cargo unit into subsidiary

French technology company Wiremind has turned its air cargo business unit into an official subsidiary, Wiremind Cargo.

Founded in 2014, Wiremind provides revenue optimisation and inventory management software to the transport, logistics and events sectors.

The air cargo unit was established in November 2021, using its SkyPallet product to optimise capacity and make sure capacity is being used in the most efficient way.

The subsidiary will be led by CEO Nathanael de Tarade and CTO Etienne Corbille. De Tarade says Wiremind Cargo shares the overall Wiremind vision of creating tools for people that are easy to use.

He says: “We have the know-how and capacity to deliver efficient solutions for inventory, reservation, capacity management, pricing or flight optimisation, to name just a few areas. Our goal is to develop a unique cargo management platform that supports and facilitates the daily work of people working in all areas of the industry, be they cargo sales or reservation agents, flight controllers, or involved in operations.”

SkyPallet, Wiremind’s flagship air cargo product, will be managed by the subsidiary. To maximise capacity utilisation, it has a 3D Volume Calculator, a Flight Planning module, and a Weight & Balance module.

Top airlines and cargo companies including Emirates SkyCargo, Atlas Air, United Airlines, Qantas Airways, WestJet, ECS Group and Chapman Freeborn use Wiremind Cargo’s products.

Wiremind Cargo’s 2022 strategy is to enhance and improve products in collaboration with the ECS Cargo Digital Factory through their CargoTech partnership, providing innovative technology for air cargo.
