
In Latin America, there is a seasonal service between Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport using Boeing 787-8s and daily services from Rio to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Miami International Airport will receive extra Latin American connections with up to three flights a day from São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport and Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport.
American Airlines is adding almost 200 roundtrip widebody departures out of Latin America compared to the previous winter season.
Across the Pacific, American Airlines will launch flies between Dallas and Brisbane Airport, its longest non-stop flight, and services between JFK and Tokyo’s Haneda airport are new for the winter season following the successful summer launch.
Daily services between Dallas and Shanghai Pudong International Airport will run for the full period and flights between Auckland International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport will start earlier at the beginning of December.
Asia Pacific will be served by more than 150 roundtrip widebody flights compared to the previous winter season.
The transatlantic will benefit from daily services between Barcelona and Philadelphia operating for the entire season and more widebody departures from London Heathrow Airport than any other US carrier.
