In South America, FedEx has launched Boeing 767-300 services to connect Buenos Aires’ Ezeiza International Airport, Santiago’s Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Chile and Mariscal Sucre Quito International Airport in Ecuador with Miami International Airport.
Boeing 757s are providing connections from La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, Guatemala and Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula, Honduras with Miami.
The aircraft will operate multiple times a week.
The flights give FedEx a direct commercial presence in Honduras and Ecuador, putting the express company closer to customers and better serving their international shipping needs.
The flower, coffee and cacao, seeds, high-tech, textile and automotive industries will benefit from the flights.
Luiz Vasconcelos, President of FedEx in Latin America and the Caribbean, says, “These flights are part of the ongoing air network redesign, aimed at better serving customers of all sizes by providing direct connectivity with the Americas and the world.”
