LATAM Cargo adds North American connections

LATAM Cargo is increasing connections to North America with a new route flying to Los Angeles and Houston.

The Quito – Los Angeles – Houston – Manaus – Sao Paulo Viracopos route is operating twice a week and LATAM Cargo plans to increase this to 4 a week when new freighters enter service later this year.

The service will help flower exports from Ecuador by adding Los Angeles as a delivery point, complementing its existing delivery points in Miami and Amsterdam.

Adding Houston to the network will reduce transportation time from the western and southern US states to South America, benefiting the movement of industrial and electronic components, machinery, engines, auto parts and other products.

LATAM Cargo is also strengthening interline agreements to connect the flights from Los Angeles to key Asian markets.

Gudny Genskowsky, Network Director at LATAM Cargo, says, “At LATAM Cargo we are constantly reviewing our cargo itinerary in search of new opportunities that can benefit our customers. In this case, the inauguration of this route responds to an initiative that will allow us to offer more capacity and provide more options to be present in the most relevant markets.”
